Language Explorer
Language learning often starts with abstract grammar and vocabulary lists instead of the real situations where people actually need to communicate.
Why this matters
Transportation, food, work, and housing are everyday contexts where clear language matters. Learning words in context makes a new language feel practical and less intimidating.
- Current idea
- Language Explorer teaches useful, contextual vocabulary through real-world situations. Learners encounter phrases and words inside scenarios such as catching a bus, ordering food, asking about a job, or understanding a lease. It is currently a prototype in active development and is not yet a finished public release.
- Accessibility notes
- Keyboard-navigable lessons, screen-reader-friendly scenario text, adjustable pacing, and audio support for every phrase. No exercise depends on color, sound, or fast reactions.
- What was learned
- Language sticks better when the lesson is a situation a person might actually face, not a disconnected list of terms.
