Howe — Just Ask Howe
Instructions for ordinary tasks are often incomplete, overly technical, or written as though the reader already knows the missing steps.
Why this matters
Clear guidance can turn an unfamiliar task into something a person understands and can do independently. Plain language reduces confusion and makes instructions useful to far more people.
- Current idea
- Howe is a simple assistant for understanding how to do tasks in plain language. A person asks Howe how to do something, and Howe explains it as clear, manageable steps without unnecessary jargon or assumed knowledge. The guiding invitation is simple: just ask Howe.
- Accessibility notes
- Plain-language responses in short, ordered steps with a screen-reader-friendly structure and voice-friendly interaction. Warnings appear clearly when a step needs care, and detail is flexible so a person can ask for a simpler explanation, more depth, or just the next step.
- What was learned
- Good instructions do more than simplify words. They reveal hidden steps, preserve important details, and give the person control over how much guidance they receive at once.
