Mainstream job sites match people to their old job titles, not to what they can do now — which fails anyone whose abilities, health, or circumstances have changed.
Why this matters
As an independent living specialist I build resumes and job searches with people every week. Someone leaving food service after a vision change is not unemployable; they are looking in the wrong tool.

- Career Compass helps people build a resume around transferable strengths and then find work that fits their real needs — accommodations, schedule, remote options, and physical demands — instead of matching on job title alone.
- Accessibility notes
- Forms are screen-reader labelled, keyboard-complete, and written in plain language. Nothing is timed, and progress can be saved and returned to.
- What was learned
- Job matching gets far more useful when the first question is what a person needs from work, not what they used to be called.
